Tea Decor Galore!

The next Hospital-i-tea http://www.gracioushospitality.blogspot.com/ Blog-a-Thon assignment is Decor-a-Tea
"Share ideas and pictures that incorporate tea and/or tea themes into home decor. Displays, art, prints, fabrics, and collection all count in this category. Do you use teapots and teacups as a part of your home decor?"
Oh my goodness! Do I ever?!? I have so much tea decor that our second home is a "tea house" decorated on a tea theme! I can only post a few photos in the space allowed. The quilt was featured in a previous post I have 3 of the quilts in this guest bedroom. One on each of the twin beds and one on the wall in a quilt hanger. They are from Pottery Barn Kids several years ago. The lamp, the Grandma Tea Bear and the Lizzie High Victorian Tea Doll were gifts from friends and family. The Tim Simpson water colors were purchased at various times at Elmwood Inn. The Royal Worcester tea set was purchased on a visit to Worcester, England in 1998. The top one is a framed photo (using a process I don't understand) by a Lexington photographer of an elderly lady in the window of the Small Talk Tea Shop. We found this at Elmwood Inn and had to have it because we have visited this little tearoom in Bourton-on-the-water many times. The next framed photo is one I took of AJ in the same window when he was 4 years old. These two are my favorites!

Wow, Linda! I'm going to have to check in a little more frequently! Beautiful pictures, stories, & baskets! Love the story about your police escort!

What lovely, lovely tea decor! Isn't it fun decorating a home with tea themed items? And it makes the 'hunt' so much fun as well, looking for prints, lamps, and other tea objects to fill a cozy living space.

Thanks for sharing!

Linda, I'm glad you were able to get online to post your link on the new "Mr. Linky" for this week. I enjoyed your post all over again --- and think the print of your son peeking out of the tea room window is priceless! How special to have an art print of the same place as well.

Did you make the lovely teacup quilt?
