Cosy Corner Tea Room, Builth Wells, Wales

Our day trip to Builth Wells, Wales was a little trip down memory lane for GJ and I. We stayed in Builth Wells in 1995 as chaperone's with the #2 daughter's teenage folk dance group from our southern KY town. In 1995 the group had a meal at the Cosy Corner Tea Room. We were pleased to find it still there with the same owners who have been operating it for 25 years. We were seated at a table near four elderly ladies who met there with their market baskets on Monday for lunch and a discussion of the local economy, health care, etc. They were fascinated to learn that we had come back to their little town after 13 years. We discovered many people on this trip started up conversations with us just to hear us talk. Several said we sounded different from other Americans they had met or heard on TV. They loved talking to AJ and believe me, he loved talking with them!

This Cosy Corner Tea Room has personality! I can see why it is still in business after 25 years. Love the photos - and all the tea cups and tea pots.
