Everyone Loves A Parade!

The BCHS homecoming parade was yesterday afternoon. The theme was "Super Heros." GJ (above) and his helper AJ (below) rode on the firetruck with City Council members throwing candy.
The freshman class chose Super Man for their float below.
Sophomore class float
Junior class float.
The senior class chose Bat Man (below)
These girls are showing their support for a fun homecoming week at BCHS!
All week the students dressed to a different theme each day. The elementary participated. AJ went off to school on Monday wearing his favorite sports team shirt -- University of Kentucky Wildcat Blue, of course. Tuesday was western day. He was dressed in jeans, a plaid shirt and vest complete with red bandanna. Wednesday was retro day to dress in your favorite era. I tried to convince AJ his brightly colored tie-died shirt would be perfect, but he opted out and wore regular clothes. Yesterday was Super Hero dress-up for the high school and pajama day for the elementary. What has happened to my 4th grader? He did not wear his pjs because he is "too old." But today was hat day -- bring a can of food for the local food bank and wear a hat to school. Alas, he went off with his can of peas and his baseball cap on his head! I guess guys never outgrow their baseball caps!

Brings back very fond memories for me! Once a pirate always a pirate! I can't believe A wouldn't wear his PJ's :-( He is a big boy :-(

Yes, I'm familiar with the "I'm too old for that." When he's 11-12, you'll hear it daily, if not hourly.
Looks like a good parade though!
