Recipe Book Cover Boy (and Mama)

Our grandson, Peyton, and his Mama Melissa are featured on the cover of a Cincinnati area recipe book! The little book features recipes submitted by moms on http://www.cincymoms.com/ and is sold at Bigg's stores throughout the Cincinnati area.
Our daughter, Melissa, was a Family and Consumer Science (Home Ec.) teacher for 11 years before she and Tim, our SIL, adopted Peyton. Melissa enjoys cooking and entertaining and so does Peyton! She and Peyton have been in several issues of this little publication, but this is their first time to appear on the cover. Apparently, Peyton has become a celebrity going through the check-out lines at Biggs!

The recipe Melissa submitted for this issue is one from my recipe box I got from a church friend years ago.

Blueberry Jello Salad
2 — 3 oz. packages of black cherry or grape Jello
2 C. hot water
1 can blueberry pie filling
1 large can crushed pineapple, with juice
Topping:
8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 C. sour cream
1/4 to 1/2 C. sugar
Chopped pecans (optional)

Dissolve Jello in hot water. Stir in pie filling and pineapple. Pour into a 9 x 13 glass dish and refrigerate until firm. Beat topping ingredients until fluffy. Spread on the congealed Jello mixture. Optional: Sprinkle with chopped pecans. Refrigerate.

How adorable is THAT! Wish that it would be on the newsstand here because I would surely want a copy. And the recipe sounds like a real winner as well!
