Tea For Ruby

Tea For Ruby is a delightful book by Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser. If the illustrations seem familiar, you may be a Fancy Nancy fan. Ms Glasser illustrates that series of books. I posted about Fancy Nancy's tea party book here.

A special thank you to my friend Mary for calling me on the cell phone to let me know this little book is in Lexington book stores. I just happened to be driving down I-75 on Sunday afternoon when I received her call so AJ and I zipped into Barnes and Nobel at Hamburg Place to purchase the book for *me*. I just love children's books about tea parties and good manners!

Now don't think AJ was neglected on the book shopping, because he came out of the store with a stack of books from the series of Wierd School books by Dan Gutman. AJ laughs out loud when he reads these books. He just finished Mrs. Patty Is Batty!, a Halloween favorite.

I can get into *soooo* much trouble at Barnes & Noble! hehehe I'm going to purchase this book to read to my grandsons' class. Is AJ familiar with the Shel Silverstein books? "A Light in the Attic" and "Where the Sidewalk Ends" were favorites of my son, JB (who is now 29 and still loves the books). Shel also wrote "The Giving Tree" probably his most popular book.
