Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
We departed the Cotswolds on Saturday, June 7 and headed toward Devon in the southwest of England. On the way we stopped at Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire to visit one of the locations used in the filming of two Harry Potter movies. AJ and GJ are big Harry Potter fans!
Walking in England and Scotland, along the Malvern Hills, the edge of the Lochs and rivers and the Cotswold Way, was the favorite activity of these fellows! They went out everyday, sometimes twice a day, for long walks in the rain and in the sunshine wherever we were. Time for walking is always included in our Great Britain travel plans (just like time for tea.) There are many public footpaths and maps of walks throughtout the country making it easy for the many walkers.
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
