Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
The grandchildren and I have real tea parties and been playing pretend tea party for years. They pour Grandma a cup of tea and Grandma pours each of them a cup of tea. We pretend to put milk and sugar in our tea and eat delicious scones. This little guy (the youngest grandson) put a new twist on the tea party with what I call his "oops move." He asks if I want a cup of tea, he "pours" it carefully from the little teapot to the cup and starts walking across the room to bring it to me. Then...watch out for "oops!!" Of course I give the expected reaction to the spilled "tea." We pick it up and start all over again. "Oops!
Grandchildren are so much fun!!!
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
