Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
This little resin Boyds Bears and Friends™ "Emma and Bailey... Afternoon Tea" was a gift from Joyce, our 85 year old neighbor from across the street. It was left over from her recent church fund raiser yard sale. The price tag was marked $3, but apparently nobody wanted to purchase it because the teacup has a noticeable chip. Joyce is aware of my passion for tea things and thought I might "appreciate" it. I assured her the chip just gives the little piece personality, and that I would proudly display the adorable little piece among my tea collectibles. She was very pleased.
The following quote is on the bottom:
"Friendship improves happiness, and abates misery, by doubling our joy , and dividing our grief." ~ Addison
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
