Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
When the Old Durham Road English Country Living catalog arrives in my mail box, this Anglophile can hardly wait to peek inside! I like to make myself a cup of tea, sip and enjoy it page by page.
According to the catalog, the Buckingham Palace Imperial Crown Tea and Biscuts are exclusive to Durham Road. Apparently there are two ways to purchase the beautiful tin of tea shown in my bottom photo. You may visit one of the Royal Palace gift shops, as I did this summer when we visited Windsor Castle and Balmoral, or order it from this catalog. Don't tell my husband he could have saved BIG travel bucks by ordering the tea from this American catalog!!!
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
