Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
Our grandson, Peyton, and his Mama Melissa are featured on the cover of a Cincinnati area recipe book! The little book features recipes submitted by moms on http://www.cincymoms.com/ and is sold at Bigg's stores throughout the Cincinnati area.
Our daughter, Melissa, was a Family and Consumer Science (Home Ec.) teacher for 11 years before she and Tim, our SIL, adopted Peyton. Melissa enjoys cooking and entertaining and so does Peyton! She and Peyton have been in several issues of this little publication, but this is their first time to appear on the cover. Apparently, Peyton has become a celebrity going through the check-out lines at Biggs!
The recipe Melissa submitted for this issue is one from my recipe box I got from a church friend years ago.

When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
