Afternoon Tea at the Cincinnati Hilton Netherland Plaza

Linda, PJ, Melissa, AJ, Brittney and GJ (photo by SIL Tim) at tea.

We all enjoyed the Christmas decorations, including this gingerbread house just inside the entrance of the dining room, Orchids at Palm Court.

One of our family holiday traditions during the past several years has been to have a "Family Christmas Tea." Christmas family travels and indoor soccer have complicated our December schedules. This year we celebrated our annual family tea in January. On Saturday, January 3, GJ, AJ and I traveled to N. KY to visit #1 daughter, Melissa, SIL Tim and 3 yr. old PJ. The daughter had made reservations for our family tea at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza Hotel. We have visited this historic hotel many times over the years for over nights and dinners and enjoyed tea there last year for my birthday.

The Netherland Plaza serves a very generous afternoon tea on Saturdays from fall 2008 to May 23, 2009. Menu and more photos to come....

That sounds like a good family tradition. Maybe better in January too, something to look forward to after Christmas.

You have a lovely family. The tradition is a wonderful one. I have to beg The Bennie to go to a Tea Room but I think he would go for your kind of Tea's.
