In Tuesday's post I asked about your selection of tea for your afternoon cup. I drink a Keemun , Assam or Ceylon in the morning and a Darjeeling, Oolong or occasionally an Earl Grey at home in the afternoon.
Do you have a particular teapot you use at home in the morning and a different or special teapot you use in the afternoon? When I am home alone, I use the Brown Betty for making tea. If guests are here, I tend to make tea in one of my prettier teapots such as this Chatsford floral teapot above. So why don't I use the pretty floral teapots for me? I guess it is just one of those "mindset" things....Starting today I will use the pretty floral teapots for just me!

Good for you!! Those teapots are to be used and enjoyed. I've started dragging out a lot of my 'pretty' dishes to use. If I don't, then I will have missed out on the joy that they bring. They sure don't bring much joy sitting in the back of a cupboard or china cabinet.
I rotate mine around by my mood or the tea, but I have my faves, too. Today I am using a very simple plum-colored one.
Get the water very hot, because baby it is cold out side.

You DESERVE to use the pretty ones!
Ditto. I use my Brown Betty "just for me" - and I LOVE my electric kettle. I see you have the very same one. Isn't it cool to watch the water come to a boil and then boil?
I didn't realize Chatsford teapots came in designs! I thought the only choices were solid colors. Who knew! (THIS is why I must always, always read my tea blogger friends!)
I like the lid on your tea basket!
I use several small teapots just for me, but always a pretty cup. I have the same electric tea kettle. My husband gave it to me for Christmas.
A rather late bloomer, I've recently become a tea lover and happy to have come across your blog. So enjoyable. Thanks.
I use the same teapot for everything --- for awhile --- and then exchange it for another in my collection. When I tire of that one, I find yet another. I suppose I rotate them so each has a turn, but I admit to having teapots that I have never used for tea.
