Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog of rambling thoughts and daily happenings in the life of Linda, who is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA!
Although the temperature reached 60 degrees today, there is still 1 to 2 inches of ice on our neighbor's yard where they did not get sunshine.
The sun melted most of the ice in our yard so that we could see the damage. We lost several trees, but can't complain. We were warm and safe in our home.
At first I was disappointed we *won't* be getting an ice or snow storm tonight after all, but reading your posts has made me grateful for Georgia's pretty ordinary weather. And your tips on getting through the storm have been wonderful! (Although I was sad to hear about the loss of tea party food, yikes!)
Wow, I just now am beginning to see all the work that needs doing to clean up around Kentucky... I'm glad you were safe and warm, and had plenty of tea...
This recipe is for the many hits I receive from searches for "Friendship Tea Recipe" ~~ 1/2 cup instant tea, 1 cup sweetened lemonade mix, 1 cup Tang, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground cloves, Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in a an airtight container. To serve, put 2 to 3 tsp. mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of boiling water. Adjust amount of mix to taste. Enjoy!
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown

So glad you are safe and warm. Sure hate the lost of so many trees and limbs. But not sad to see the ice go.

I am glad that the ice is going away and you are safe. But, what a mess to clean up. Don't over do it.
