Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog of rambling thoughts and daily happenings in the life of Linda, who is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA!
I collect tea tins and could not resist this cute tin today at Home Goods. It has a hinged lid and converts into a bank when the 25 individually wrapped bags of New English Teas English Afternoon Tea have been removed. I usually drink loose leaf tea but I'll give these teabags a try.
The characters on the double-decker bus are so very British looking (especially to American tourists). Notice the license plate "TEA 4 2." Just too cute!
Oh LOVE the double decker.... I must make a run to Home Goods and see if I can find one of those. My granddaughter came with me to England, she called the DD buses, "two - story buses" isn't that cute ;)
This recipe is for the many hits I receive from searches for "Friendship Tea Recipe" ~~ 1/2 cup instant tea, 1 cup sweetened lemonade mix, 1 cup Tang, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground cloves, Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in a an airtight container. To serve, put 2 to 3 tsp. mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of boiling water. Adjust amount of mix to taste. Enjoy!
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown

That's a nice bus there. Not many around now, mainly in London.
Not many chimney sweeps either now most of us live in smokeless zones.
Hope you enjoy the tea bags.
