Reading Children's Tea Books While Iced In

AJ and I read a variety of books during the power outage last week, including these three children's tea books. His favorite of the three was No Dragons for Tea, a book about fire safety for kids (and dragons) by Jean E. Pendziwol and Martine Gourbault. In this story, a little girl invites a dragon over for tea but he accidentally sets the table on fire. The little girl knows exactly what to do to get out of the house, the fire department came to put out the blaze, and everyone remained safe! You can see why an action-packed tea party story like that would be appreciated by a boy! The book is one in a series of four dragon books teaching lessons about dealing with bullies, stranger safety and water safety.
Kid Tea doesn't have a lot to do with tea except that the children make a different color of "tea" in the bath tub each night depending on what they had been playing with on a particular day. Example: played in the mud, made brown tea that night
Not Another Tea Party is about a bossy little girl who had too many rules at her tea party.
FYI - KY Ice Storm Update:
It was reported on our local news last night that 5000 homes in our county are still without power. Hundreds of thousands in the state are without power. We know a family in a rural area the next county with four children who have been told they could be a month without power. It is a difficult time for many people here.

Loved the tea book reviews, and I will remember to pray for those still without power in Kentucky. Thanks for keeping us posted!

Linda, I'm glad to hear you are alright and have been able to cope during this weather situation and have also been able to lookout for your elderly neighbors. What a devastating ice storm.
