The Belleek teacup in the photo above was given to me in 1988 by my 95 year old Aunt Ida. It was one of her collection of different teacups and saucers. She and lady friends went "antiquing" on the weekends during the 1960's. This was one of the "treasures" she found during those trips, and is currently one of my favorite teacups.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

It's a gorgeous cup and saucer! And so is that fabric!
Hey - this is so cool! My word to type is TENCHA - a perfect green tea for today, don't you think?
Now I know the rest of the story to the tea pot for your birthday!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Happy St. Patrick's day to you.

That teacup is simply beautiful -- and sentimental to boot! Belleek is on my "to find" list, but alas, the Belleek teapot I saw at the flea market on Friday was "on sale" ... for $199! Yikes!
And guess what? I just came from an antique mall and found the most gorgeous teapot "planter" (topless teapot) for $5. I was so grateful for your earlier blog post, or I wouldn't have even considered this lovely piece!
What a lovely Belleek cup and saucer. My 87 year old mother-in-law has dozens of cups and saucers that have been given to her over the years (she is a pastors wife). Maybe she will give me a pretty one when she is 95. ;-)
Linda: How special! I don't have any Bellek but think it is beautiful!
Happy Saint Patrick's Day Linda ♥
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
We've been on holiday in Florida so I'm a bit late with this comment, but I just LOVE this teacup. A Belleek anything has been on my Wish List forever! What a lovely, lovely gift.
I do love Belleek China! My grandmother was Irish & I have a few of her pieces I treasure! Hope your St. Patty's day was lovely!
Hugs,
Sheri
