Go-carts, bumper cars, arcade games and more -- and that was just the first afternoon of Spring Break Week 2009 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Guess which members of the family chose this destination?!? The children love visiting the Great Smoky Mountain area because there are lots of fun things to do. We went to the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant on our first night for our favorite southern dishes. The "children of all ages" in our family love their apple fritters served with apple butter and their specialty beverage, the apple julep. You can see the recipes here.

That is where we took our grandchildren this week for their spring break also....the little one made his first trip there he is growing so fast grandchildren are precious :o)
