Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog of rambling thoughts and daily happenings in the life of Linda, who is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA!
Linda, I love this! You have shown other stands/tables in your blog before, and now you have ME looking for pieces in my area to display my teawares! lol...Susan T.
What a gorgeous piece, and I totally agree with your "repurposed" use for it. Since it was a wig stand, I wonder if perhaps the little drawers were originally to hold hatpins and the like ...
This recipe is for the many hits I receive from searches for "Friendship Tea Recipe" ~~ 1/2 cup instant tea, 1 cup sweetened lemonade mix, 1 cup Tang, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground cloves, Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in a an airtight container. To serve, put 2 to 3 tsp. mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of boiling water. Adjust amount of mix to taste. Enjoy!
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown

wonderful transformation for the little stand from wig to teapot.
Well done! I love using things for other than what they were intended...
