The tile guy working our our house can't understand the "messy" English Garden his wife (my friend) planted and thoroughly enjoys. Considering his profession of laying tile and wood floors, he works and thinks in patterns and straight lines. She is a messy desk, go with the flow, flexible gal. I pulled up a few of my photos of gardens around Chipping Campden, England last year to show him a few authentic English Gardens so maybe he can see that she really has a plan to her "messy garden."

these are gorgeous gardens!! Overflowing curves are much more forgiving than straight lines in a garden.
Oh, I would SO love to live there!!!
I just knew those pictures were from the Cotswolds. I love seeing the gardens; so beautiful.
Lovely gardens Linda. I just adore English gardens. By the way, yes I did visit Jury's during my last visit, they are a charming trio.
These gardens are beautiful. I love the vines and greenery climbing the walls of the house. It has such an Old World charm; it's rare to see such a setting in America.
Linda,
One of my daughters has wanted to go to England to see the countryside with the quaint houses and beautiful gardens. Any suggestions for a trip?
Your English garden photographs are beautiful. I love the house with the thatched roof and pale blue door and climbing pink roses. What a treat to see these lovely gardens and buildings.
You have made me officially "homesick" for England! We lived there for 4 years when my husband was in the Air Force
I love those purple, bell shaped flowers!!! Very pretty gardens
Hi Linda,
What a lovely blog.
Well done for making it through all those cream teas, a girl after my own heart.
I hope you have also had a visit to Scotland, we are quite devoted to tea and cake here too! :)
