I am showing these today in honor of the Japanese sister city Delegation from Hokuto City, Japan.
Every spring since 1989, a Japanese delegation visits Madison County, Kentucky. And, every fall a group from here visits Japan. The Japanese group had to postpone their spring 2009 trip until this week. Tonight GJ, AJ and I are hosting the group for dinner as our family has done for 15 years.
Since our house renovation is not complete and is not ready for company, we are having a catered event at GJ's company.

Have a wonderful event. Love the teapot and cups with the blue flowers.
That is a wonderful thing to get to do, enjoy.

What a wonderful thing that you've been able to go to Japan twice! Oh, I hope to visit one day!
What a lovely event to be sure!
Cannot wait to have you post about it!
Absolutley lovely tea sets!
What a wonderful tradition! My Japanese pen pal (43 years now!) is coming to the US for the first time on Wednesday... and will be here for 2 weeks. What an adventure! Lots of sharing and tea drinking will be going on here too!

Both your Japanese tea sets are lovely. My husband visited Japan on a business trip many years ago. How wonderful that you have been twice.
I like that teapot with the simple green branch and leaves on it. It's not so feminine with floweriness that I couldn't own it, being a man. I'm always on the lookout for Western tea items that are masculine. --Teaternity
