I hosted our annual Family Christmas Tea this afternoon at home. The children set the table with Grandpa's help. The menu included: Turkey Sandwiches on honey wheat bread triangles, Country Ham on Sister Schubert rolls, Roast Beef on rye bread squares, Cucumber Sandwiches on white bread squares, and Cheese and Spinach Savories, Cinnamon Chip Scones with Lemon Curd and Mock Devonshire Cream, Decorated Christmas Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, and Strawberry Delights. We enjoyed two pots of Harney's Decaffeinated Ceylon.

What a lovely idea, a family tea at Christmas. We do one at Easter, but not Christmas.
Linda: Just a heads up as I sell that stand and no food should touch the metal - maybe I just can't see it but a paper doily, napin or cloth doily advised! I wish you a very happy New Year and say Thanks for your fun blog!
Thank you for that reminder, Bernideen. That stand was a gift from the #1 daughter I received a few years ago. I placed paper doilies under thefood items.
Is that your first Tea in your new tea room? All of the food looks delicious.
Happy New Year
Patsy
Wish I could have been there! Glad you could use the stand ;-)
Love,
What a great tradition! And I also love that these kids are going to develop such lovely manners!
What a lovely family Christmas tradition. Your tea tray items look delicious - cinnamon chip scones - yum!
