Remembering Aunt Ida's 96th Birthday

Followers of my blog know my Aunt Ida.  She would have been 96 years old yesterday.  She was a great role model to me and a loving aunt/great-aunt to my family.  I borrowed this photo from my daughter Melissa's blog.  The photo was taken 30 years ago of Aunt Ida and our daughters, Melissa and Laurel.  Aunt Ida passed away in August.  She was a very special lady and we miss her every day.

Linda, I do remember you speaking so lovingly about your Aunt Ida. To be remembered as such is a joyful gift forever! When I sip my afternoon cup of tea, I will think of you and Aunt Ida and say a blessing to you both. Susan T.

Memories can be sad when you lose a love one.

We do remember special people this time of year. I have been thinking of my mom. I made her recipe for peanut brittle today and it is bringing back so many memories. Take care and enjoy the memories.

I think YOU have done an outstanding job honoring and respecting seniors and you should be esteemed for that!

I can't believe it's been a year since she passed. I remember your writing about it and feeling like I'd lost extended family!
