July Tea — the Tea House, Cornelius, NC

My computer is up and I can finally post photos from our trip to North Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee. Sorry for the delay.

We enjoyed afternoon tea at the Tea House in Cornelius, North Carolina on Wednesday, July 29.
We were seated in the Alice in Wonderland room.

I scheduled reservations after G.J's meeting in Charlotte, NC which ended at noon.

G.J. and A.J. were very complimentary of the food and presentation of this afternoon tea.
I posted the photos of the three courses out of order. Top: Desserts included lemon bars, apricot petit fours, chocolate dipped strawberries, pecan tassies, purse (decorated) cookies and grapes.

The first course included generous portions of B-L-Tea finger sandwiches, creamy Brie and pear triangles and homemade chicken salad on croissants.

The freshly baked lavender white chocolate scones were served on individual silver pastry servers with mock Devonshire cream and house made lemon curd.

Each of us chose a different "endless" pot of tea. I chose an Oolong I had not had before (can't find my notes) and the "boys" chose English Breakfast and Earl Grey.

The Tea House is located in a row of houses converted to businesses in Cornelius, NC, a historic town located less than an hour north of Charlotte.
