Lunch was provided for the 101 ladies attending. You all know how I never pass up an opportunity to take photos of food, so I snapped a few shots of the lunch of homemade chicken salad, croissants and fresh fruit cups.
The State Regent's theme is Bee Strong, Bee Encouraged, Bee Kind, Bee Doers. Therefore the table decorations were bee themed.
Various members provided delicious finger desserts, from cookies to fudge and more.
Four members of our local chapter drove up the day before for sightseeing and an overnight. And yes, since Bardstown is the bourbon capital of the world some of our ladies sampled bourbon while on a trolley tour to a distillery. Since I arrived later than the others and missed the touring and the tasting, I was the designated driver for the evening. That was fine with me. Although Kentucky is very famous for our bourbon production, bourbon is definitely NOT my cup of tea!
