Kentucky Derby 2010 — Churchill Downs

On Wednesday, friends and I attended the 5th Annual Mom's Closet Resource Center "Winning Purse Luncheon" at Churchill Downs in Louisville (Lou-a-vull), home of the Kentucky Derby
It was a beautiful spring day, and the perky lime green and white table decorations in the Trophy Room ,where the luncheon is held, added to the festive atmosphere.
Rhonda on the rooftop, just outside the 5th floor Trophy Room,  over-looking the famous twin spires of Churchill Downs.  Her beautiful hat was perfect for a day at the races!

How fun! I love the lime green table cloth, so cheerful. The hats are great. I use to wear big hats once upon a time.

It sounds like such fun! L O V E the hats!!! I'm a 'hat' person, too, but don't have very many occasions to wear one in recent years...I even had a hat made just for me while vacationing in New Orleans several years ago...stunning black one! It's inauguration was on July 4th weekend that year to church! :-) Thanks for sharing.

Oh, what fun! I was in Atlanta most of last week and got behind on my blog friends, but I did manage to watch the Derby on Saturday and thought "I hope Linda has some fun things to share!" You never let me down! (And because our magazine is printed in Kentucky, I have to tell you I was taught to pronounce Lou-a-vull exactly that way!) I hope you'll always have a Derby luncheon event to share with us!
