Afternoon Tea at the Grand America Hotel, Salt Lake City

In July 2004, we enjoyed an elegant Afternoon Tea
at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
Each guest was served a tea selection from Harney and Sons, in individual teapots.
The first course included a lovely and generous assortment of delicious finger sandwiches.
Scones, Devonshire cream and jam were served next.
The last course was a selection of strawberries and cream, petit fours, tortes and pastries.
It appears in the photo above, AJ, who was 5 years old at the time,
was about to snatch a strawberry off my plate above,
but he actually wanted his hand in the photo.
He has learned a lot about afternoon tea since 2004.
He helps me take photos at various tea venues,
and he scanned these photos and posted them on the blog for me.

Looks like a lovely tea. AJ was so little back then and now he's so accomplished, helping with photography and your blog.

Bless A.J.'s little heart! I love that he is learning about tea from you! I think it's hilarious that he's scanning the photos for you:) Love all the teapots I'm seeing on your blog. I'm also a lover of all things tea-relatled!
