Monday Tea Time Memories — Lady Marpelet's

Afternoon Tea at Lady Marpelet's Tea Room in Cookeville, TN
Mary and I visited Lady Marpelet's several times.  This photo was taken in June 2004.  Lady Marpelet's was one of my favorite tearooms, and I sorry it has closed.  But have happy memories of this lovely tearoom and gift shop and antiques shopping in the area.

Our Tea Room closed here in Jonesboro. Hope someone will open it soon.

Good Monday Morning Linda:
Every time I hear a Tea Room closed - I am sad! I know they are both labor intensive and do not make a lot of money. This is why so many former tea room owners now go around "teaching" others "how to do it". Perhaps we need to appeal more to the public to "SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TEA ROOM".

I agree completely with Berinideen. We need to support our local tea room!!

Hi Linda! What yummy treats! *sigh* I know what you mean too! Our tea room (about 25 miles away) closed this past year and I am so sad about it. Now the next closest one is over 100 miles away. I do miss a tea room!

That looked like a cute tea room. I missed that one and the one in Dickson, TN which also closed. :-(

I've never even heard of this one but I sure love the name. Looks lovely!

I am always sorry when a good tearoom closes. I think I have met the owner at one time, but can't remember her name.
