Mary and I met for luncheon tea today at The Greentree Tearoom in Lexington.
Greentree serves luncheon tea at noon Wednesdays - Saturdays and afternoon tea at 3:00 pm on Saturdays.
The menu and featured tea changes monthly.
The July Menu included:
Gazpacho
Toasted Coconut Scone with Strawberry Butter & Fayette Cream
Salmon Salade Nicoise
Turkey Salad Tea Sandwich
Parmesan Tomato Rounds
"Lilly" Tea Sandwiches
Italian Wedding Cookies
Chocolate Dipped Pineapple
Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Fresh Peaches and Rum Cream
Summer Blend Tea
The first three courses are served. The tea sandwiches and desserts are on a round buffet table in the center of the middle of the dining room.
The service and the food are excellent at Greentree. Mary and I love to go there for lunch, but just aren't able to work it into our schedule as often as we would like. Today we decided to make a better effort to meet for lunch at Greentree Tearoom monthly.

Yummm! For some reason that tomato sandwich looks so good.
Hope your shoulder feels better soon. You certainly don't want that surgery if you can avoid it.
That entire menu sounds DELISH!! I am a huge coconut lover, so the toasted coconut scone alone has my taste buds in longing.
My sister-in-law, who loves tearooms as much as I do, lives in Ashland. Her girls (my nieces) live in Lexington, so SIL often makes the drive to Lexington. I will have to ask her if she's ever had tea at Greentree. If not, I'll have to suggest it.

That luncheon tea looks wonderful. The menus each month sounds delicious. It would be nice to enjoy their tea each month.
