The Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood, Texas

The Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood, TX is more than a restaurant — it is a destination.
We stop here every time we are in this area of Texas.  Driftwood is a tiny community east of Austin and south of Dripping Springs, TX.   It is not on your way to or from anyplace.  GJ and I discovered The Salt Lick several years before AJ was born.  Eating at The Salt Lick  is a must for our family when we travel to this area of Texas!

The place looked different this time.  The parking lot is bigger and a sheriff's deputy was directing traffic into the lot.  From the crowd, we thought we would have a long wait.  Not so!  The Salt Lick has expanded by adding another building with a second BBQ pit to accommodate the huge crowds and private parties.
We ordered the Family Style meal of brisket, sausage, pork ribs, potato salad, cole slaw, beans, bread, pickles and onions.  Oh my!  Plan to loosen your belt and enjoy!
Don't expect anything fancy here.  Everyone is seated at picnic tables (inside).  You can expect great food, excellent service and plenty of Texas hospitality.
The Salt Lick has an outdoor waiting area complete with fresh squeezed lemonade ($2), snacks
and a gift shop.

Ya'll know I am an avid tea drinker, but did you know I absolutely can not pass up fresh squeezed lemonade?  (especially on a hot sunny day)

Love fresh squeezed lemonade too. Yumm! Oh the meat looks so good, it is making me hungry. I must go put dinner in the oven.

Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
