Vintage Aynsley Teacup Trio

When Mary was in Florida recently she found this Aynsley English Bone China Teacup Trio set with eight teacup trio sets and the matching serving (cake) plate.  She called me to and ask if I wanted her to purchase it for me.  The price marked was $139.  I asked her to take a photo and email it to me. I showed the photo to G.J. and he quickly agreed with me, I couldn't pass it up at that price.  I've paid more for teacup trios after digging in the bargain basements of antique shops in English villages and have never found a matching service for eight. As it turned out, with a discount due to other purchases,  the price dropped to $115. It was charged to my credit card, carefully packed and delivered by Mary.
The set washed up beautifully and is ready for afternoon tea.

Your new teacup trio set is beautiful. It is such a pretty color. How wonderful to have eight matching settings and a cake plate.

Linda, you gave me a scare there ... at first glance I saw "teacup trio" and "$139" and I was a bit worried you'd overpaid for one set! But you are right, $115 is a terrific price for all those trios (how often do you see that many together, even?) AND the cake/serving plate to boot. And what a lovely design! The flowers are especially cheery, don't you think!

By the way, do you ever loan your "personal shopper" friend Mary to your other friends? No, I didn't think so ...
