The Greentree Tearoom, Lexington

Mary and I met at Greentree Tearoom in Lexington on Friday for Luncheon Tea.
I had just left my doctor's appointment where I learned I need to schedule shoulder surgery.
I admit I was a little bit in shock after that news, therefore I forgot to take photos during the first three courses.
The delicious menu included:

Chilled Cantaloupe Soup
Asiago Scone with Herbed Cream Cheese and Greentree Tomato Chutney
Baked Pear with Blue Cheese Entree Salad

(the above items were served in three courses)
I finally got my camera out and took photos of
The following items which were on the round buffet table:

Poppy Seed Egg Salad Tea Sandwiches
Jeweled Sweet Pepper Tea Sandwiches
French Radish Tea Sandwiches

Chocolate Truffles
Coconut Buttermilk Cupcakes
Key Lime Pie

Summer Blend Tea

The menu changes monthly at Greentree.
We hope to be able to schedule tea monthly and this delightful tearoom.

Sorry to hear about the need for surgery but as you know many people are having great success after these surgeries. I hope this is going to help you! I hope you had a great tea inspite of the pressing thoughts!

The Greentree Tearoom looks lovely, with a very nice afternoon tea menu. They certainly have pretty floral arrangements.

Hope your surgery goes well and you have a quick recovery.

So sorry to hear that-- you must be in a lot of pain.

What a lovely tea, and I hope it soothed a bit of your nervous flurry for a while.

The place and plate look just wonderful (I make key lime pie just like that, in tiny punch cups, so everyone can sample every dessert).

My thoughts and prayers will be with you for a quick, easy recovery.
