Tea Time Treats

While in Charleston, I purchased a package of Charleston Tea Plantation breakfast tea.  I was impressed by the change in packaging since our visit to the plantation a couple of years ago.  This box contains loose leaf tea in 12 individually wrapped pyramid tea bags.
While shopping at the City Market, the boys purchased these delicious Southern Sisters Bakery
And, as we were grocery shopping at Publix in Hilton Head, we purchased Madeleines which were as delicious as any home baked ones I have tasted.
I believe this is what my mother would have referrd to as a "store-bought" tea party!

Hello Linda
There's nothing wrong with a store bought tea party as it gives the lady of the house a break from all the fussing.
It all tastes just as delicious. I've never seen madeleines for sale in a grocery store which is why I bought the pans to make my own and could eat them all myself too! :-)

I am not above a store-bought tea party myself and will certainly be looking for these madeleines! Thanks for the info!

I've never scorned a few store-bought good items for the tea-table. We've recently found some delightful pastel meringues, some lovely macaroons (the old coconut stand-bys) and quite a few wonderful cookies, especially a key-lime Wedding Cookie that's way better than the original.

And for a little private moment with a quiet cup, any little cookie that's your favorite.

Hi Linda..actually these all look very yummy! After your comment on my post about the menu- I went back and added it. I add things after the fact sometimes. I do my blog in such a big bad hurry all the time - people would be shocked how I run. I only have a computer upstairs in the office at the store (none at home) and my hubby is always buzzing me to come down! He's not so sure about my blogging....

Oh I LOVE madeleines! Wish I could find some here. I have heard that particular tea is good too! :) I have bought a few items for tea parties too--I don't think it matters if it's yummy and most people are there for the company anyhow and having a good time! ;)

I would love to visit this plantation too and find special treats for that impromptu tea party.
