A Nice Cuppa

Whew!  I am ready for a nice cuppa tea!

On Monday I saw a different surgeon to schedule rotator cuff surgery.
He told me I will have my right arm in a sling for at least six weeks after surgery.
I told him there is no way I can have the until after the Berea Health Ministry Tea on October 23rd.
I'll let you know more about the BHM Tea and my surgery as the dates approach.

Today, I received a call from the school nurse.  Another student slammed a door on AJ's hand and smashed a finger on his left hand.  Of course he is a lefty.
We spent about 2 hours in the E.R., but the finger is not broken and the school nurse did a nice job of bandaging the cut.  He will wear a splint for several days.
Tonight at parent-teacher conferences, he received much attention from the teachers and other students.
But, he had to miss the middle school soccer game.
Not to worry, however, there are two games tomorrow night!

In case you notice I'm not blogging daily, just think of me and our busy schedule,
and have a cup of tea!

By the way, I'm not complaining, just explaining!

Sorry to hear about AJ's finger. Hope it heals quickly and without any complications.

Also, I hope your surgery goes well. I understand what you mean, though. When you realize you will be virtually armless for several weeks, it's kind of hard to find a convenient time for that, isn't it? especially as we head into the fall with all our holiday busyness.

Blessings to you,
Patti

You will be so glad once your surgery is over and you are on your way to healing. My husband had an ice machine that pumped coolness over the shoulder. It was a tremendous help with pain, in fact, he still uses it once a day and his surgery was in June. Take care.

Thank you for explaining! I visited several times the other morning "looking" for you and wondering if you'd gone out of town and I had missed the info! Hope your surgery goes well, and please tell AJ all his fans out here are thinking of him!
