Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
Merry Christmas to you-YaY!We can now greet eachother with the official wish.Your family looks sweet and your Santa is darling.I decorate in reds and green, not as much as when I was young though. When my girls were growing up it was a huge part of christmas, now I do just a little and more in lavender, because now it's more for me.God bless you.Have a good week.
Perhaps it's more the matter of having inherited my mother's satin-striped burgundy sofa---never sat on, I do believe, when I picked it up, than a matter of personal taste, but almost everything in the living room can be geared around burgundy---a nice clear reddish burgundy, the deeeep rose of looking through a bottle of wine.
So we do burgundies and pinks and pearls and nice shades of green and gold on the tree and bows and swags and mirror-drapes and door wreaths and curtain-toppers and ribbons on packages---but mostly burgundy.
In Spring, a nice leafy slipcover converts that deep sofa into a lovely pale background for all the florals and whites, but now it's burgundy, all over the place.
Love seeing your Santa pouring tea. Some years I decorate with the traditional red and greens, as I have done this year. Some years I decorate with white and gold. I depends on the theme for my holiday teas as to what colors I choose. It is so fun to see everyones decorations. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my goodness, how I do love that Santa serving tea figurine! (And we have the same mini tea set!) My taste in Christmas colors varies year to year. Sometimes I go all Victorian with pinks and burgundies, last year it was lime green and red, this year I guess it's more of an olive green with red -- just a little of this 'n that!

A Cup of Tea
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
"Friendship Tea Recipe" ~~ 1/2 cup instant tea, 1 cup sweetened lemonade mix, 1 cup Tang, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground cloves, Combine all ingredients and mix well. Store in a an airtight container. To serve, put 2 to 3 tsp. mix in a mug and stir in 1 cup of boiling water. Adjust amount of mix to taste. Enjoy!

And DD does most of the decorating.
