Welcome to Friendship Tea, a blog about the daily happenings in the life of Linda, a tea enthusiast, who enjoys travel and trip planning, and is passionate about family, friends, life in Kentucky, and all things TEA.
Granddaughter KJ experienced her first tea room afternoon tea at A Lil Peace of Heaven Tea Room in Port Royal, SC on July 27, 2004 when she was three years old. One of our fmaily traditions is to spend a week at Hilton Head Island at Marriott's Grande Ocean Resort. We usually take one day of that week to visit an area tea room. This was our first visit to A Lil Peace of Heaven Tea Room. KJ loved the fancy Victorian decorations and vintage hats for the guests to wear. I love the expression on her face in the bottom photo as she looks at her first outing with a three tier server!

A Cup of Tea
When the world is all at odds And the mind is all at sea Then cease the useless tedium And brew a cup of tea. There is magic in its' fragrance, There is solace in its' taste; And then laden moments vanish Somehow into space. And the world becomes a lovely thing! There's beauty as you'll see; All because you briefly stopped To brew a cup of tea. ~ Source unknown
