Teacup Thursday — A Vintage Duchess Teacup

This pretty teacup and saucer with the deep pink and yellow pattern and gold rim is marked "Duchess" Bone China England, Est 1888.  My research tells me this teacup was most likely made in Staffordshire sometime between 1947 and 1960.

Today I am participating in Miss Spenser's Blog Teacup Thursday.

I AM a softie for the old, over-blown roses. Do these all have a place of honor in your Tea Room, and do you take one down every day for your tea?

I hope so.
