Teacup Thursday — A Vintage Royal Standard Teacup

Today is Teacup Thursday at Miss Spenser's Blog.
I am participating by featuring this pretty vintage Royal Standard, English Bone China teacup.
The cup and saucer are of a scalloped shape with an alternating blue with gold trim with a multi-floral design on a white backgroung.
Do you notice the cup and saucer sitting in different positions in the top two photos?
In the top photo, the white/floral section on the cup is matched to the blue section on the saucer.
In the next photo, the blue sections and white/floral sections of the cup and saucer are matched.
Which way would you display/use the cup and saucer?

What a beautiful cup and saucer set! And I would display it with the floral section in front -- but I would not object to those who display it the other way. ;)

A very pretty cup and saucer. I would display it with the floral sections matching; however, I don't usually think about that. Now I must go look at my cups and see if they should be shown differently.

What a gorgeous cup and saucer. The blue color is so pretty. I'd probably have the white/floral matched to the blue for contrast.
