Teacup Thursday — Regency Lily of the Valley

This Regency English Bone China teacup is of a Lilly of the Valley pattern.
Although it is not expensive, it is special to me because
it is the only English teacup and saucer I have of my Aunt Mary's.
Aunt Mary taught school in one-room schools in rural Kentucky in the 1940's and 1950's.
She was a very special, but strict teacher, known as "Miss Mary"
to her students.

Lily of the Valley has some significance with me too :-)

It's a beautiful cup and saucer and so much more special because of the connection with your Aunt!

Oh lovely lovely. Miss Mary must have been a gem! It never matters to me if a teacup is expensive or humble...love them all.

I LOVE that you have pieces you know belonged to your family! It would be special even if it were a less pretty pattern, so to have a teacup so pretty is just icing on the cake.
