Last Views of our Western North Carolina Adventures

Horseshoes for GJ
  at the Cataloochee Ranch
AJ and KJ enjoying the quiet time on the swings.

Wild Turkeys, above, crossed our cabin front yard every morning and every evening.

Galax, a North Carolina wildflower, grows in the mountains.
This arrangement in a tea kettle caught my eye!
Wildflower walks are popular at the ranch in the spring.

We did a little shopping in Maggie Valley.
and in Waynesville, NC
I forgot to take photos at the fabulous Mast General Store.
We stopped at this coffee and antiques-home furnishings shop for tea and delicious cake.

Back to Maggie Valley where we visited the fascinating  Wheels Through Time Museum

We departed the Cataloochee Ranch on Tuesday, October 4th for more fun adventures during fall break week, i
ncluding tea time!
If all goes well, we hope to return next year.

What a delightful trip. Love seeing the wild turkey's. The first time I saw wild turkey's was in the Georgia many years ago. I think there are more in your part of the country than there are out here. It is a very rare sight.

That really does look like a relaxing place to enjoy a getaway. I loved that they have tea at three at the ranch and your tea on the porch looked lovely too.

That copper tea kettle makes a great floral container for fall! Hubby and I are hoping to take off a few days for the mountains next week, and I hope it's still as lovely as your photos show!

What a wonderful autumn trip! Not only did you delight in all the regular sights but you were able to include some great tearoom stops! What fun!
