I purchased this postcard in England several years ago.
I love the photo of an English Cream Tea.
I keep it on my refrigerator as a reminder of our special English cream tea memories.
The same dishes, Johnson Brothers Summer Chintz, are in one of my new cherry corner cabinets.
How did that come about?
I purchased a few cups and saucer trios of this English-made dinnerware
in an antique shop in Durango, CO several years ago.
When I arrived home I realized they were the same dishes as are pictured on the postcard,
I set out to collect more!
The remainder of this set of dishes have been collected at China outlets during various travels.
Most of these dishes were made in England, including the teapots.
The newer pieces were made "off-shore."
Now I have enough of these pretty Johnson Brothers Summer Chintz dishes to set a pretty tea table.
As I did in the photo below at the 2009 Berea Health Ministry Tea.
The theme of my table was "A Teddy Bear Tea."
