I recently participated in a tea gift exchange with an online tea discussion group of which I am a member.
Among the items I received was this box of Murchie's 1894 Tea.
The box contains 75 Select Orange Pekoe (peck-o) 2-cup Tea Bags.
What is Orange Pekoe Tea?
It is explained on the back of the box. Orange Pekoe has nothing to do with orange flavor.
It refers to the cut of the leaf.
This tea is a blend of black tea imported from Assam and Ceylon (Sri Lanka).
Murchie's Tea and Coffee Ltd.is located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.

Well....was it any good?
I love Murchies. There's one in Victoria we shop at each time we take the ferry over for a day or two. Great tea...and the goodies in the bakery end of the shop are fab! Thanks for sharing your gooie!

The person who got your name must have known you are a tea purist! Perfect!
How nice to receive this special gift of tea.
My favorite is Earl Grey but I also really like Irish Breakfast. I bet you have been really enjoying this tea, and are glad to have received it!
What a fun gift exchange, and I love the gift you received. Sandy and I had brunch at Murchies when we were in Victoria a couple of years ago. Loved going there!
