Capresso PerfecTea

I have been using various brands and styles of automatic electric tea kettles since our first visit to England in 1995.
I really like the way electric tea kettles quickly boil the water and shut-off automatically.
No more having a tea kettle boil dry on the stove when I get distracted!

This is my third Capresso Cordless Glass Water Kettle.
The difference in this one is that it has 5 temperature settings to accurately brew different teas.
A pull-out Temperature Guide with the correct temperature settings in case you don't know or forgot.

Boil - Black Teas
195 degrees Oolong Teas/French Press Coffee (but not in my house) *smile*
175 degrees - White Teas
160 degrees - Green Teas
100 degrees - Warming

You can purchase the Capresso PerfecTea at

By the way, we use our electric tea kettle often, not only for tea making,
but for any quick food or beverage requiring heated water.

Two things I want to mention about the glass Capresso,
I like to see the water coming to a boil through the glass, and
when the handle of a tea kettle is on the side, the hot steam does not burn your hand when you refill a hot kettle.
Please Note: I don't receive anything from the company, these are just my opinions, based on my experience.

How do you heat your water for making tea?
Do you have a favorite electric tea kettle?
Please share your comments.

I use my keurig. I can set the temp and I know what I need to do to get a cup or a pot or whatever. And it's always ready! :)

This will be my NEXT one! Tho I have a trusty stainless that seems to be going on forever! (It works great, too, but I can't see the water!)

I've never thought about having an electric tea kettle, but you know what--you've definitely sold me on the idea! It just sounds so EFFICIENT. Perfect temp, and that auto shut-off-- and as I get older I don't want to forget the kettle on the stove too (as I have more than once)!

We sure are injoying our Keurig for tea ,coffee and we are drinking more tea. We can also use our on teas and coffee not just the k-cups. Your pot is great too.

We have always had an electric range, but now we have a brand new gas one. It seems to take forever to boil a kettle. I think perhaps this might be the solution to my problems.

I had an older model Capresso for a very long time and loved it eventhough it didn't have the temperature adjustment. Recently I broke it. I ended up with a metal digital one that you can also set the temperature. We use our kettle several times a day. I love my new kettle, but do miss not being able to see the water. I think the next one may have to be this one.

I have 2 electric kettles and a water boiler/keeper and I absolutely love them for tea, coffee, cereal, soup, on and on and on! I'll never go back to stovetop. Unless, of course, the power is off and then gas is the winner.
