Tea for Two at Greentree Tearoom

Mary and I enjoyed lunch tea at Greentree Tearoom today.
They are located in a historic home in downtown Lexington, KY.
The menu at Greentree changes monthly.
A special Valentine's menu is being served during February.
We were greeted by Rob our favorite server.
The first course was a delicious French Onion Soup.
The second course was a warm Poppy Seed Scone served with Cherry Curd and Fayette Cream.
Fayette cream is named for Fayette County where Lexington is located.
It is a delicious mock Devonshire Cream.
The main course was Low Country Shrimp and Grits
Following the main course, the guests are invited to the buffet table for tea sandwiches and mini desserts.
It included:
 Corn Salsa in Masa Cups
White Pimiento Cheese Sandwiches
Red Radish Ribbon Tea Sandwiches
Strawberry Cupcakes
Chocolate Pots de Creme with Raspberry Sauce
Glazed Heart Cookies

Greentree Serves one tea selection from Antique Silver Teapots
Assam was the tea served today.

Mary and I enjoyed our visit and the delicious homemade treats.
It was a beautiful 72 degree day in Kentucky today.

This sounds delicious! Curious about the corn cups with corn filling. Was the cup a corn tortilla backed with a salad type filling? I have someone coming for tea for Easter that can't eat alot of thing and this sounds like something that might work.

This sounds like (Shrimp and Grits) something from Laura Child's/Theodosia's Indigo Tea Room!
What a huge meal - lovely!
