Celebrating My Birthday at Greentree Tea Room

Mary, Delores and I went to Greentree Tea Room on Wednesday for the March Tea,
in celebration of my birthday this weekend.
Greentree changes their menu monthly.
Mary and I would love to go to Greentree every month of the year, but thus far, we haven't made it yet.
We are off to a good start this year having gone in February and March. (they are closed in January)
Greentree serves a luncheon tea at a great price, ($19.95 per person.)
The March menu included a delicious Potato Leek Soup

A perfect Irish Oatmeal Scone served with Blackberry Jam and Fayette Cream

One of my favorites at Greentree, the Hot Brownette,
a small version of the famous Kentucky Hot Brown.
The last two courses are served from the buffet and included
Salmon Mousse in phyllo shells
Benedictine Tea Sandwiches
Pesto Chicken Tea Sandwiches
Pistachio Cupcakes
Grasshopper Creams
Greentree French Filled Wafers
Winter Blend Tea

We met Judy and Maureen (with Mary in the photo below) who were seated at the table next to us.
When Judy did an online search for Greentree Tea Room, she discovered my blog.
What fun to meet a blog reader!

I look forward to an April visit.

What a wonderful place for a birthday celebration! I'm having three couples over for dinner on March 17th and planned on a St. Patrick's Day theme. Your post today has given me some ideas.

What a lovely way to celebrate your birthday! And what a small world - my birthday was yesterday (just turned 53!), and my husband and I took the day off together and he took me to a new tearoom, "Tea with Tracy," located in Seymour, Connecticut (about an hour from our home). I don't think there's any better way to celebrate than a nice "spot of tea," do you?

The food at the Greentree Tea Room looks wonderful and that is a good price. I'd love to try that oatmeal scone and Hot Brownette.

Have a great birthday!
