Traveling Tea Mug — Indiana

My tea mug traveled with us to Indiana
where we stayed at the historic French Lick Springs Hotel,
a beautiful resort in the small town of French Lick.
The purpose of this visit was another meeting for GJ.
AJ and I tagged along for fun again. :-)
I read and relaxed on the front porch while the guys were out and about.
And, what a nice, comfortable front porch to sit and enjoy my tea!
The lobby is beautiful.
The hotel has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation in recent years.

The original hotel opened in 1845. The attraction was the mineral springs.
In an old advertisement, below, it was advertised as a Health and Pleasure Resort.
Quoting the ad: "You drink the waters — nature does the rest."
Here are the guys at a pig roast dinner for our group.
AJ took the photo of the pig below.
And, yes we all ate some of it.
It's a good thing it didn't look like this by the time I made my way through the food line,
I'm not sure I would have been so anxious to eat the pork.
This would be a great get-away location for a family or a girlfriend group.
And, I found a place for afternoon tea, coming in the next post.

Hi Linda,
What a fabulous hotel! I enjoyed looking at your photos. I would have passed on the pork however as pork and I don't get along very well. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to Indiana. Enjoy your weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

I was there a few years ago and loved it! We wanted to have afternoon tea, but the event was canceled due to an old car show. Enjoy!

That certainly is a gorgeous hotel. I would have enjoyed relaxing on that porch too.

What a great porch to sit and have your tea. I love a big ole porch. You sure do get around. So great for the kids to see so many places.

Oh I would love having tea out on the veranda/porch. I can just picture Victorian ladies there.

That hotel is simply gorgeous! (The pig, not so much! But you knew that already, ha!)
