Travels - Niagara Falls

We just returned home from a fun week of travels,
which included driving 1600 miles through five states and Ontario,
four different afternoon tea experiences,
and a  special reunion with my friend Nancy in PA.
Visiting Niagara Falls was on AJ's travel bucket list.
The top photo was a view from the window of our
room on the 19th floor at the Marriott Fallsview  for our three-night stay in
Niagara Falls, ON.
What a fabulous view to wake up to each morning!
We took a 5-hour tour which included the Journey Behind the Falls
tunnels leading to the falls.
My photos are limited due to the water spray from the falls.
The famous Maid of the Mist boat ride below was awesome!
 We got wet again!
Can you see how close the boat is to the falls in the photo below?
Later in the day, we went up the Skylon Tower, as seen in this photo.
Views of the American Falls, including the Bridal Veil Falls.
A visit to the Butterfly Conservatory was included.
And, of course, a little souvenir shopping.
From the left, Canadian Breakfast Tea, Ice Wine Tea and Maple Tea.
More posts to come...

Wonderful! This is on my list. We were sad on our road trip to be so close, but not have time to stop here. Now we have to plan another trip to see these beautiful falls.

Beautiful pictures - and that tea looks wonderful, too!

What lovely memories!! All our kids have wanted to go, and all have, one time or another.

On our very first trip, back in the 70s, the nice disposable ponchos were instead these thick, rubbery cloak-things, smelling of rainy-day third-grade coat-rooms and all the former occupants.

And after the first time, we knew to take one of the several-hour guided tours.

The photos of your trip to Niagara Falls looks like you all had a great time. Loved the rainbow in the one photo. After seeing the falls can you imagine Wallenda having the courage to walk a tightrope directly over the falls???
Niagara Falls is where Jerry and I went on our honeymoon. That was back in the day before newlyweds took Caribbean cruises! ;-)
Now A.J. has five more states to cross off his list. How many more remain?

I have always loved going to the Falls. We were there once when the American half was shunted over to the Canadian to get rid of a huge build up of boulders. Looks like they need to do it again. I loved riding on the Maid of the Mist.

Great photos! Another friend of mine just visited Niagara Falls and then Ontario, and one of her pictures on FB looked sort of like the Space Needle. Thanks for telling me what it was!
