A Delightful Day With Friends in Portland

Marilyn, Stephanie, me (Linda) and LaDonna
have been tea blogging friends for several years.
Click on each ladies name above to link to their blogs.
I contacted Marilyn some time ago to let her know I would be in Portland
with GJ and AJ for a conference.
Marilyn, a very gracious hostess, made plans to gather tea
and blogging friends for a fabulous afternoon at her home.
The event began with a beautiful and delicious
lunch in the recently completed greenhouse made from
recycled materials by Marilyn's husband Jim.
Broccoli Quiche
Asparagus Quiche
Salad
Crusty Bread
and a delicious, refreshing iced tea made from
Oolong Tea and sparkling apple cider.
Below: Jan, Jennifer, Adrienne, LaDonna, and Sally (LaDonna's DIL)
This was a non-stop chat event!
AJ and Marilyn's son Tim visiting before lunch.
A vintage tablecloth with heirloom dishes
Marilyn's grandfather's china.
For dessert, refreshing watermelon chunks
with lime juice, honey and fresh ginger
and home baked sugar cookies.
What a special place for tea and friends!
Visit Marilyn and LaDonna's blogs
at the links above for their posts on this very special event.

A Wu-Wo Tea Ceremony was held later in the day.
I will post that in a future post.

Thanks, Linda, for the nice coverage of that special day. It was so much fun to have everyone here in our garden and greenhouse. Great pictures!
