A Picnic Moved Inside

We scheduled an outdoor picnic/party to be held on our decks around the pool
to introduce some new friends to people in the community.
When the day of the event neared, the temperatures were 100+ F.  here in Kentucky.
When 6:00 p.m., party time arrived, it was 99 degrees in the shade!
The night before, we were decided to move the casual supper for 48 people inside.
We moved furniture out,
and the caterers set up the picnic-themed tables and meal inside.

24 in the living room/dining room...
16 in the tea room...
and, 8 in the TV room
The buffet was set-up on the glass-enclosed porch.
The menu included:
BBQ Ribs
Teriyaki Chicken Breasts
Baked Beans
Southern Cole Slaw
Mama's Potato Salad
Layered Salad
Fresh Fruit
Strawberry Shortcake
The beverages were set-up on our breakfast table.
Sweet and Unsweet Iced Tea
Blueberry Tea
Moving furniture out wasn't ideal, but
sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!

It was so much more comfortable in the air conditioned house,
and turned out to be a nice event.

Cleaver fix and I like the black and white accents. The menu sounds so delicious. Happy Summer.

Everything looks lovely, and best of all the guests didn't get heat stroke!

It definitely looks like a nice event. That looks like a lot of work, especially with moving the furniture out. I can just imagine everyone did really enjoy this special party.
