A Very Special Tea at Sweet Remembrances

Nancy Reppert and I were roommates on the 2007 Tea in London Tour
led by Denise at Uniquely Tea.
AJ, GJ and I were delighted to join Nancy and niece, Angelica,
for a private tea at Nancy's Sweet Remembrances in Mechanicsburg, PA
while on our recent visit to Hershey.
Nancy started our afternoon tea experience with refreshing glass of
"Pennsylvania Sweet Tea".
Next each of us selected flavor of perfectly brewed tea from the menu.
Below is my pot of Queen Catherine tea.  Each guest had their own teapot and cozy.
The first course was a mixed berry salad with walnuts and feta cheese with a poppy seed dressing.
Nancy with the beautiful and delicious three-tiered server.

Sandwiches included (in the photo below)
Sliced Chicken with Basil Pesto Mayo
Asparagus and Blue Cheese Roll ups
Herbed Spinach Balls
Cucumber with French Style Cheese Spread
and Swiss Cheese and Bacon Melts on Pumpernickel
We were so busy visiting and enjoying the delicious foods, I forgot to take close-up photos of
the rest of the delicious food items including:
Traditional English Cream Scones, Plain and with Currants,
served with Sweet Cream and Raspberry Preserves.
And the mini desserts:
Carrot Cake Muffins with Cream Cheese Frosting
Strawberry Shortbread Cookies
Raspberry Cream in Puff Pastry

After our delicious tea, we visited The Rosemary House and Garden next door
where we did a little shopping before departing for the journey back home.

We have very special memories of our visit and special afternoon tea with friends.

What a wonderful reunion. It's almost 6pm here in London, I haven't started dinner yet, and the sight of all the gorgeous food (especially that salad!) is making my stomach growl!

Oh I just loved reading all about this very special tea with Nancy. How I would have loved sitting there also and having a cup of tea with each one there. How fun for AJ and Angelica to meet and enjoy the time together.

How nice to be able to visit with your friend again and in her Tea house too! I wanted to tell you I was lucky enough to go to the McFarland House for tea on our trip last week. We had five boys and my daughter, but enjoyed it so much. Thanks for suggesting it.

What a marvelous time! And I also like Nancy's touch of having the name of the tea on the tea cozy. That's just smart! (Wish I could have been there too!)
