Kenilworth Ceylon in My Cup Today

What tea is in your teacup today?
I am drinking Kenilworth Ceylon from Harney and Sons.
According to Michael Harney's Guide to Tea book,
this is a medium-bodied middle-grown tea.
This tea is from the Kenilworth tea estate, one of the oldest in Sri Lanka.
The twisted leaves are between 1/4 and 1 inch long.  No tips.
The liquor is "rose brown".  The body is mellow, medium-bodied,
lighter than other teas from Sri Lanka or Assam.
Did you know you can purchase small samples of various teas from several tea vendors
including online from Harney and Sons and Upton Tea Imports
The tea in the photo below is a sample-sized package.
Ordering sample packages is a great way to try different teas
without investing too much money.

I agree with Michael Harney.
The tea is a beautiful rose brown color.

Again, I ask. What tea are you drinking today?

This morning was Yunnan Gold. The tea you are drinking does sound good.

Started my morning with a nice hearty Assam with hints of vanilla and bourbon. Although I don't like a flavored tea, these notes were so delicate as to have been overpowered by the Assam, so it was as if it was not flavored. Perhaps tomorrow, I'll enjoy a mug of Elmwood Inn's Kentucky Blend!

For several mornings I've been drinking Lemon Jade Green Tea by Simpson & Vail.

Rooibos the flavor and the color of the tea.
A fun blog.

Late start --- no tea yet. I think I'll have Queen Catherine's --- it's delightful!

Thank you for the "sample" tip. I really like that idea!

I love tea from my little tea mug that's just like yours. :D

I am ashamed to admit I am drinking a no-name brand of plain teabag that I scrounged around and found in a desk drawer at work. Clearly, it's time to bring in better tea!
